About This Game

In Couch Trip the cargo matters more than the clock. Capybara and Raccoon run a two-animal moving company, and every one of the 24 jobs ends at a customer's drive where the couch must still be aboard. Hard bumps, airborne crests and scraped rails snap tie-down straps, so loose things slide around the bed and fly out on the next jolt. Roadblocks need footwork: Capybara shoves boulders and pushes the truck out of mud, Raccoon climbs to tie back low branches, and either one cranks gates, lays bridge planks or hooks the winch.

How to Play

Goal: Stop inside the customer's drive with the couch on board, ideally with every item at 90% condition or better and inside the job's par time for three stars.

  1. 01Open a job from the jobs list and read the briefing: what the customer wants moved and the par time.
  2. 02Drive with ↑/W, steer with ←/→ or A/D, and brake or reverse with ↓/S; slow down before bumps, crests and icy bends.
  3. 03If a strap snaps, stop, press E to climb out, walk to the tailgate and hold E until everything is tied again.
  4. 04At a rock, gate, herd, broken bridge, low branch or rock face, stop short, step out and hold E at the marked spot; honk with H to move animals.
  5. 05Press Tab or Q to swap between Capybara and Raccoon, or switch the title screen to 2 players and share the keyboard.

Gameplay Features

  • 24 handmade jobs over Meadow Valley and Snowy Peaks, each proven winnable with the stock pickup
  • A cargo bed where straps snap, loose items slide, and fragile pieces crack on hard jolts
  • Two movers with their own jobs: Capybara pushes and lifts, Raccoon climbs and runs
  • Real roadblocks: boulders, farm gates, flocks, broken bridges, creek jumps, mud, ice and rock faces
  • Garage with six trucks, strap, tyre, winch and bed-rail upgrades, and eight paints
  • Keyboard play solo or with a friend, plus a touch stick, pedals and hold-to-act button on phones

Tips & Strategies

  • Treat washboard bumps like speed bumps: around 30 km/h keeps straps intact where full speed snaps the couch's.
  • Take creek jumps at a steady 30–40 km/h; under 30 the truck noses into the bank, over 45 the landing pops straps.
  • Stop before blocked roads instead of nudging them: running into a rock or gate rattles the whole load.
  • Let Raccoon fetch light fallen items since it walks almost half again as fast, but send Capybara for anything over 30 kg.
  • Buy taller bed rails if loose items keep escaping; the highest level more than doubles the side height.

Supported Devices

Plays in desktop browsers with the keyboard (solo or two players on one keyboard) and on phones and tablets with touch controls in portrait or landscape. Needs WebGL.

Couch Trip FAQ

What should I do when an item falls off in Couch Trip?

Stop, step out and walk back to it; the item waits on the road where it landed. Hold the action key beside it to pick it up, carry it to the tailgate and hold again to load and strap it. Raccoon can only lift items up to 30 kg, so the couch, the fridge and the drum kit need Capybara.

How do two players share Couch Trip?

Pick 2 players on the title screen. Capybara is played with WASD, E and Q, Raccoon with the arrow keys, Enter and the slash key, and whoever is sitting in the cab steers. That lets one friend push a stuck truck or crank a gate while the other drives.

Which truck in Couch Trip climbs rock faces without the winch?

The Farm 4x4 and the Bigfoot have engines strong enough for the steep rock faces, so they drive straight up. Every other truck, including the free Old Pickup, needs someone to walk up and hook the winch to the post at the top before reeling up.

Do I need garage upgrades to finish Couch Trip?

No. All 24 jobs can be finished at three stars with the stock pickup and no upgrades if you drive carefully. Stronger straps, grippier tyres, a faster winch and taller rails simply leave more room for mistakes.

Why did the truck fall into the gap in Couch Trip?

Either the bridge was still broken or the jump was taken too slowly. A broken bridge needs someone on foot to lay the planks first, and a creek jump needs roughly 30 km/h at the lip; driving into either hole ends the job.
