About This Game

Rocket Roadster is a 3D racing game where the car flies. You drive a rocket supercar from the cockpit (or a chase camera) through 12 point-to-point races in three zones, and every broken bridge is a decision: how much speed you carry, when you light the thrusters and how you set the car down. Rivals run the same physics and energy limits, so pace comes from your lines and landings, not from catch-up.

How to Play

Goal: Earn each race’s first star — a top-3 finish, a set of sky rings or perfect landings — before the 150–240 s limit, to unlock the next level.

  1. 01Hold W to build speed; the rocket only fires at 72 km/h or more with at least 18 energy in the tank.
  2. 02At the lip of a ramp, hold Shift: the car rises to 8 m. Hold S to climb as high as 42 m, W to come back down.
  3. 03Steer with A and D in the air and slide with Q and E to line the nose up with the road ahead.
  4. 04Release over tarmac with the wheels level and the nose straight to score a PERFECT LANDING.
  5. 05Use Space for nitro on straights and keep refilling energy through checkpoints, rings and crystals.

Gameplay Features

  • 12 races in Coastal Rocket Run, Neon Sky City and Rocket Test Facility
  • Cockpit view by default, chase camera on C
  • Six cars, from the free XR-1 to the 286 km/h Eclipse
  • Five upgrades per car, five levels each
  • Easy, Normal and Hard rivals on equal physics
  • Keyboard, touch and gamepad controls

Tips & Strategies

  • The tank holds 100 energy and the XR-1 burns about 25 per second, so even a full tank flies roughly 4 seconds — arrive at long gaps full.
  • Touch down falling slower than 23 m/s and pointing along the road; a hard landing throws away 22% of your speed.
  • Blue crystals refill 35 energy and checkpoints 20 — route through them on the lap before a gap with no ramp.
  • Chain a ring, a jump and an overtake inside 4 s each to stack the combo toward x5 before the finish.
  • If you drop off the track, you return at the last checkpoint at 108 km/h with at least 55 energy, but the clock never stops: commit to the next jump rather than braking.
  • Spend early R-coins on Rocket thrusters: more lift per second and less energy used in flight make every gap shorter.

Supported Devices

Rocket Roadster runs in desktop browsers with a keyboard or gamepad, and on phones and tablets with on-screen steering buttons, pedals and NITRO/ROCKET buttons. It plays in landscape; turn your phone sideways for the full track view.

Rocket Roadster FAQ

How high can you fly in Rocket Roadster?

The rocket lifts the car to a cruise height of 8 m. Holding S climbs as high as 42 m and W brings it back toward cruise height. A single burn lasts at most 4.6 seconds, so height is a trade against how far you can travel before the tank runs dry.

What counts as a perfect landing in Rocket Roadster?

The car must touch down level, aligned with the road and falling slower than 23 m/s. A perfect landing pays 500 points times your combo, returns 25 rocket energy and gives a small burst of speed. Landing hard instead costs 22% of your speed.

Where does rocket energy come from in Rocket Roadster?

Checkpoints give 20, sky rings 15, perfect landings 25 (good landings 12) and blue crystals on the road 35. Near misses add 5 and overtakes 6, and plain driving trickles in 1.2 energy per second.

Which car is fastest in Rocket Roadster?

The Eclipse, at 10,500 R, reaches about 286 km/h before nitro, against roughly 248 km/h for the free XR-1 Rocket. In between sit the Volt R7, Phantom X, Skyfire and Nebula GT, priced from 1,800 to 7,600 R.

Do the AI rivals in Rocket Roadster get speed boosts?

No. They drive the same cars with the same speed, grip and energy limits and plan jumps from their real speed. Difficulty changes their skill and car stats; only Easy adds a slight catch-up.

How do you unlock new levels in Rocket Roadster?

Each race has three star goals, and the first one opens the next level. That goal varies: finish in the top 3, fly through 8 sky rings or land 4 perfect landings, for example. The other stars ask for a target time and a harder goal such as winning.
