About This Game
Road Eater is a side-scrolling physics driving game in which the road behind you is being eaten. A giant Eater follows 105–140 m back and accelerates every second, so stopping is never safe; you balance throttle and air tilt to land on your wheels, jump boulders and switch the buggy between Crawler, Glider and Magnet forms. Twenty levels of one to two minutes build up those tools one by one.
UpdatedHow to Play
Goal: Reach the escape gate at the end of each level before the Eater catches the buggy.
- 01Hold the throttle and keep moving; the Eater closes in whenever you stop at an obstacle.
- 02Press Space a car length or two before a boulder to air-jump about 2 m high and 15 m long.
- 03In the air, tilt with A and D so the buggy comes down on its wheels, not its roof.
- 04Switch a morph on with 1 or 2 only where the level needs it, and fold it back on plain road.
- 05Watch for shaking ground and edge warnings, then jump the lava snake or its fireball.

Gameplay Features
- 20 levels in 4 chapters, 580 to 2,200 m long
- Three wheel morphs: Crawler, Glider, Magnet
- Lava snakes that attack from ahead and behind
- Two checkpoint continues per run
- Four buggies, all levels beatable with the first
- Keyboard, gamepad and touch controls
Tips & Strategies
- Your buggy tops out near 23 m/s while the Eater reaches about 17 m/s in the last chapter — the margin is real only if you never stall on a climb.
- Turn on Crawler before a steep wall: normal wheels let go above about 45 degrees, and a stalled climb hands the Eater free metres.
- Glider burns 27 energy a second from a 100-point core, so light it only after leaving the ramp and fold it the moment the gap is behind you.
- Upside down is not over: you have 4.5 s to roll back onto your wheels, so tilt hard instead of waiting.
- Late in a level, a checkpoint continue puts the Eater back at 55 m — you get two per run, so spend them on the long final stretches.
Supported Devices
Road Eater runs in desktop browsers with a keyboard or gamepad, and on phones and tablets with touch pedals, a swipe area for tilting and buttons for jump and morphs. It is played in landscape.
